At an early age, I was taught how to draw by my father, and afterward, spent many hours reproducing the likenesses of animals into one sketchbook after another. This appreciation of indigenous beauty - combined with my upbringing in rural Maryland - inspired the natural and emotive aesthetic of my current work, which I now invoke through a camera lens. I have studio equipment, but generally prefer to work outdoors in a more sincere environment, where the sun can lend an ethereal haze to my subjects.
One day, I will be an explorer. For now, I am merely curious.
